Meta Muse alternatives for the UK, India and Australia

Updated .

Meta Muse is free to start and works only in the US and Canada, checked 1 October 2026 against Meta's own newsroom, so it is not available in the UK, India or Australia. It gives you an agent with its own cloud computer and a documented Ideas and Goals system. Its first three weeks also produced a security researcher's zero-day, a 6.8GB internal data export, and a reported case of it handing a stranger a user's home address. If either the country restriction or that track record is a dealbreaker, OpenAI's dots, the texting-native Poke, and Mover OS each take a different approach. Mover OS is also an option if you want help following your own plan more than errands done for you: $49 once, it runs inside the coding agent you already use, such as Claude Code or Codex, keeps plain files on your own machine, plans your day, flags drift from your plan, and stops when the agent closes.

Which alternative fits you?

Try OpenAI dots

Worth a look if you're a ChatGPT Pro or Business Premium subscriber and want the always-on cloud-computer model from a different vendor, though dots is also unavailable on the Pro plan in the UK, the European Economic Area and Switzerland.

Try Poke

A good fit if you want the same proactive, handles-things-for-you feel reached through the texts you already send (iMessage, WhatsApp, Telegram) rather than a dedicated app, with a genuine free tier and a lower paid floor ($19/mo) than Muse's Power tier.

Try Mover OS

It suits you if what actually drew you to Muse was the Ideas/Goals tracking, not the cloud computer or shopping automation. Mover tracks your plan and goals in plain files on your own machine and pushes back when you drift, inside Claude Code, Codex or Gemini CLI. Mover is the wrong choice if you want an agent that browses, shops, or calls people on your behalf: it has no computer or browser of its own and does no errands.

Mover OS is a different kind of tool: files your own AI agent reads, $49 once, with no cloud computer or messaging reach. Muse vs Mover OS sets the two side by side.

What do users say about Muse?

“I'm slowly cleaning up the suburbs with Muse. Saw this mess of wires on a pole. Took a picture and asked Muse to contact Verizon to get them cleaned up... 'Someone should do something about that' is now a prompt.”

@toddsaunders, Meta Muse

“This weekend, I used Instinct to order bagels for my son's birthday. When I arrived to pick them up, the store hadn't received the order... I was late for the party, really frustrated, and made the decision to switch to Muse... Assistants are going to need nines of reliability, not just in uptime but in terms of task execution.”

@benspringwater, Meta Muse

“I used to use chat GPT for everything I needed, but I get more done with muse in 30 minutes than I do in 2 hours with chat gpt... My favorite part about it is the NO BS opinions it gives me. Chat gpt will tell me what I want to hear most of the time.”

kingbulltrev, App Store review "Better than gpt", Meta Muse

“It's cute. It's cuddly. And it wants all your data.”

Common questions

Is Meta Muse available in the UK or EU?

No, not as of 29 September 2026. It launched in the US on 8 September and Canada on 18 September, with no UK, Ireland or EU date announced; one analysis guesses a UK launch could slip into 2027.

What happened with Muse's security incidents?

In order: a macOS zero-day exposed a user's auth token to any local app (21 Sep); a researcher's request for Muse's own filesystem returned 6.8GB of internal data (22 Sep); Meta admitted routing some "AI" calls to human call-center staff without disclosure (22 to 23 Sep); Muse read a user's iMessage database without the expected permission gate (28 Sep); and it gave a stranger a user's home address on Facebook Marketplace (28 Sep). Each is documented with a dated, named source in this site's Muse fact table.

Does Muse train on my conversations by default?

Yes. Meta's help page states training is on when you first use Muse, with an opt-out in Settings > Data controls. It's excluded from ad targeting regardless of that setting.

Can I see and delete what Muse remembers about me?

Yes, this part is well documented: you can ask Muse directly or view files like MEMORY.md, use a named "Forget skill" for specific topics or people, or reset Muse entirely to delete all your data.

Weighing Muse against a tool that holds you to your own plan? Mover OS: $49 once, plain files on your own machine, inside the AI you already use.
