Meta Muse in Europe: not yet available (5 October 2026)

Meta Muse is not available in Europe, including Ireland, and it is live only in the US and Canada as of 30 September 2026. That is the position in MadRobot's guide, which says Meta has announced no European release date.

GB News reported on 24 September 2026 that Muse is not currently available in the UK, and its article says nothing about the EU (GB News). The UK has its own page here, Meta Muse in the UK.

Is Meta Muse available in Europe?

No. MadRobot's guide says Muse is not available anywhere in the European Union, Ireland included, and that Meta has not announced a European release date. The same page lists "UK, Ireland, Europe, Australia and elsewhere" as not yet served (MadRobot).

On 5 October 2026 we read MadRobot's page, last checked 30 September 2026, and it lists Muse as live only in the US since 8 September 2026 and in Canada since 18 September 2026.

Someone who tries to sign up from an unsupported country sees the message "Muse isn't available in your country or region yet. We'll let you know when it's available to you." (MadRobot). Neither source says whether any European country has been given a launch order or a target quarter.

Which countries have Meta Muse?

The Canadian launch came 10 days after the US one. When Muse reached Canada, Meta posted on X, "Made it to Canada. Where to next?", and did not say which country would follow (MadRobot).

What is Meta Muse, exactly?

MadRobot describes Muse as Meta's personal AI agent. According to Meta, it can browse the web, fill in forms, book appointments, handle customer service chats and shop across connected apps and websites. It runs on its own isolated cloud computer and asks for approval before sensitive actions such as sending emails or making purchases (MadRobot).

GB News adds that Muse is built into the existing Meta AI app and that Meta will bring it to its AI smart glasses over the next few months. The app connections Meta added in the US include Walmart, Best Buy, Sephora, Instacart, Notion and GitHub (GB News). Those are US names, which matters for anyone wondering what a European version would connect to.

Why might Europe wait longer?

Meta has given no reason for the staggered rollout, a point made by both MadRobot and GB News. Everything in the rest of this section is MadRobot's reasoning, and Meta has confirmed none of it.

MadRobot points first to data law. Muse handles email, calendar, accounts and payments, and the EU has GDPR and the EU AI Act. Meta's regular chatbot, Meta AI, launched in the US in 2023 and reached Europe in March 2025. When Meta began using Meta AI chats to target ads in December 2025, it left out the UK, the EU and South Korea (MadRobot).

Ireland gets separate mention. Meta's European headquarters is in Dublin, which makes Ireland's Data Protection Commission Meta's lead privacy regulator for the whole EU, and MadRobot expects a product with this much personal data to draw close attention there. Its conclusion is that Europe could take longer than the UK (MadRobot).

MadRobot also notes that Muse's shopping partners so far are mostly US retailers and that it pays through Link, built by Stripe, according to Meta (MadRobot).

What would Muse cost in Europe?

No European price exists in either source. MadRobot says Meta has not announced UK pricing, and it gives no figure for any EU country (MadRobot).

For the US, MadRobot lists three plans according to reports. Free carries a weekly usage allowance at no cost, Power costs $20 a month with more usage, and Maximum costs $100 a month for heavy users. The paid plans add usage. Mark Zuckerberg has said Meta expects to earn money over time by "taking a small fee from transactions" that Muse completes (MadRobot).

Can you use Muse with a VPN?

MadRobot says not officially, and it does not recommend trying. Meta offers Muse only in supported countries, which for now means the US and Canada. A VPN may break Meta's terms, and because Muse connects to your email, accounts and payment details, MadRobot advises against running it through a workaround (MadRobot).

What can people in Europe use instead?

For readers in Ireland or elsewhere in the EU, MadRobot points to Meta AI, which is available on WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and Messenger. It can answer questions and create content but cannot carry out tasks the way Muse does (MadRobot).

For the UK, MadRobot adds that ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini are all available and can research, draft emails and work with files and connected apps. Its page does not make that statement for EU countries (MadRobot).
