What AI daily planner works with Obsidian?
Two kinds work with Obsidian. Calendar tools such as the Day Planner plugin and Morgen turn your Obsidian tasks into time blocks. Mover OS plans the day from the goals and notes in your Obsidian vault, using the AI you already pay for, and calls you out when you start on something else source npm. Mover is $49 once, and Obsidian is optional.

What are the options?
- Day Planner turns tasks from daily notes, the Tasks plugin and calendars into time blocks on an editable timeline, with a built-in time tracker. It has 913k downloads Obsidian plugins. Its listing mentions no AI (checked 1 November 2026).
- Time Blocks is a weekly time-blocking canvas with a Tasks plugin backlog, drag-and-drop scheduling and Google Calendar. It has 970 downloads Obsidian plugins.
- AI Scheduler plans and runs AI tasks in your vault on a schedule, when notes change or before calendar events, and asks for approval before notes are edited. It works with Claudian, Oh My Claudian or Copilot, and has 839 downloads Obsidian plugins.
- WorkLife Calendar puts a calendar, task tracker, habit tracker and financial planner in one plugin. It has 3k downloads Obsidian plugins.
- Morgen is a separate calendar and task app that brings your Obsidian tasks into your calendar for time blocking morgen.so/obsidian-integration. Its AI Planner prioritizes tasks and recommends when to do them from your rhythms, power hours and goals morgen.so/ai-planner. A person pays $30 a month, or $15 a month billed yearly, after a 14-day trial morgen.so/pricing. See Morgen vs Mover OS.
- Mover OS installs into your vault and plans from the files in it npm.
How does Mover work with Obsidian?
- The installer asks where your Obsidian vault is, then builds the vault structure, rules, workflows and skills in it npm.
- A short interview builds your Identity, Strategy, Dossier and Goals files, and shows them to you before it writes anything npm.
- If you already have a vault, /migrate scans your folders, suggests where things go and copies them into place. Originals are never deleted npm.
- Obsidian is optional. The npm page calls it the nicest way to read what the system writes npm.
The difference from a time-block plugin is the question each one answers. Day Planner and Morgen answer when you will do your tasks. Mover answers which task goes first, and whether you are doing it.
A worked example: Sam and Pawpath
Sam is an invented person. Sam is building Pawpath, a booking app for dog walkers. Everything below comes from an example Mover vault used for demos, so no real person's notes are shown. The goal lines and the tasks are made up. The two lines marked as Mover's wording are the app's own, with Sam's task filled in.
In Sam's vault the day is a plain note. The tasks are Markdown checkboxes, the format Obsidian task tools read. Mover's job is the order and the label on the top line.
## The bet
5 beta users on Pawpath by Friday. Have 0.
## Today
- [ ] Email 5 dog owners the beta link (first)
- [ ] Fix the booking date bug
- [ ] Record the 30 second demo
- [ ] Reply to the 3 waitlist emails
- [ ] Walk Biscuit at 6
Each night, Mover's /plan-tomorrow workflow writes the next day's note. It takes the Single Test from the goal in the strategy file, so Sam's top line comes from the bet and not from whichever task is loudest. The note it writes has a Focus section, a journal prompt, the tasks (unfinished ones carry over) and a schedule.
The next morning, if Sam starts on something else, the same note is what Mover points back to.
Your plan puts “Email 5 dog owners the beta link” first, and this isn’t on today’s list. On purpose?

When Mover is the wrong pick
Pick a calendar tool if…
You want to drag tasks onto a live calendar and see your meetings beside them. Day Planner, Time Blocks and Morgen are built around that view. We found no drag-and-drop calendar on Mover's page (checked 1 November 2026) source. Mover also needs one of Claude, Codex or Gemini on a plan you already pay for.
